Yeah,
Yeah, Yeah
...On a much more brighter side of the pop coin is the first
ever in-depth look at the career of Cheap Trick. Reputation Is A
Fragile Thing - The Story of Cheap Trick by Mike Hayes with Ken
Sharp, is yet another thorough and lovingly written rock and roll
tale. What makes this an exceptional slice of pop trivia is the fact
that most of us haven't seen or heard the full details of the band's
existence before the first album.
Over 175 photos grace the pages along with detailed
chronicles of all the band's activities from the word go, and even
before. Lots of photos of Rick Nielsen sans baseball cap in bands
such as Fuse, Sick Man Of Europe, and The Grim Reapers (in 1966!).
Everything and more that you wanted to know is here with loads of
insight into the makings of all of their albums. There's also a
forward by the Move's Roy Wood. Nice one.
